Welcome to Good Girl Gone Grown Poetry
A journey through pain, pride, and power. Amber’s voice is both a confession and
a declaration—of everything it means to rise, to evolve, and to be unapologetically
yourself.
“I just finished Good Girl and I'm on my way to Almost Grown and it's fire to say the least!....
"I Just finished Almost Grown, it had me like "OOP”, I've been excited for my read each time!
I'm moving into Grown and I don't know if I'm ready yet."

The first thing that caught my eye was the cover—it’s absolutely stunning. It ties beautifully to the title and overall theme of the collection. Vibrant and eye-catching without ever feeling over the top, it immediately draws you in and invites you to open the pages.
As I began reading, I couldn’t help but hear the author’s voice in my head. Perhaps it’s because I know her personally, but I truly believe anyone who reads this collection will feel the same. The poems are authentic, original, and vulnerable—the kind of writing that makes you feel as though the author has rolled up her sleeves and laid her soul bare.
This collection is relatable, raw, and deeply personal. Each section sets the perfect tone for the poems within it. Some pieces are lighthearted and left me giggling, while others are so poignant they made me want to wrap the author in a long hug. There’s a touch of sass throughout, and together the poems unfold like a full story—an emotional arc from beginning to end.
I found myself lingering on several pieces—“A Heart,” “Nana,” “Dressing Room,” “Where Are You?,” “My Prayer,” “8,760,” “Focus On You” (response poem), and “Almost.” Each one struck a different chord, but all felt meaningful and true.
This poetry collection is one I’ll remember for the way it made me feel—sometimes smiling, sometimes tearing up, always engaged.
